Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 by ENCO Exclusive
At a time when most designers swear by curves and shapes which flow and merge, the Lamborghini Gallardo created by Belgian stylist Luc Donckerwolke dropped in 2003 like the proverbial bomb. Look for curves in this vehicle and - except where they are technically essential - you will look in vain. Edges and corners define the front, sides and tail. Donckerwolke's courage in producing such clear-cut shapes and his ability to combine them in a harmonious whole has earned him the renowned red dot design award for the Gallardo and its big brother Murcielaga, which has been following the same design concept since 2001.As time went on, the sports car manufacturer from Sant' Agata, Bolognese, launched a range of Gallardos including an open-top Spyder and the lightweight and high performance "Superleggera". In 2008, the Italian firm finally carried out some fundamental technical and optical modelling on its "small" sports car, also improving the styling even further. The front section of the V10 racer, now known as the Gallardo LP 560-4, has since been even more aggressive.
Known for its stylish finishing, ENCO Exclusive from the Saxon town of Chemnitz has now created a customised carbon fibre glove for the Gallardo LP 560-4's lean mean body. The GT3 design front bumper is 100% carbon fibre and has three large gills on each side where the fibre strands are clearly visible. Two additional carbon fibre finish aerodynamic components are available to fit both this and the series bumper: the front splitter and the rear spoiler. The GT3 side skirts may be unobtrusive, but they make the Lamborghini as a whole appear even bigger and stronger. The boot cover for this mid-engine racer- what in normal cars is the engine hood - is also ultra-lightweight but highly resilient carbon fibre. The rear diffuser, wing mirrors and air vents in the boot lid are finished in carbon fibre laminate. Top quality matt foil adds the finishing touches, giving the angular Gallardo the look of a stealth fighter plane. ENCO Exclusive has also had a field day with carbon look laminate in the interior. The inlay on the wheel, the cover on the central console and dashboard and the handbrake shine in silvery black - as do the door handles and openers.
Enco has also been at work on the 5.2 litre V10 engine. After some serious power treatment, the ten cylinder with its menacing roar now reaches not 560, but an impressive 620HP. The maximum torque is now up from 540 to 575 Newton metres.

Car Crash: Lamborghini Murcielago in Switzerland
Late last Thursday in Switzerland a young drunk Russian driver crashed his Lamborghini Murcielago into a Volkswagen Golf, while racing friends in three other exotic cars on the outskirts of Geneva, leaving an elderly German badly injured.
The Moscow Times reports that all four drivers of the cars have been questioned and released, two of which are the sons of Russian multimillionaire Telman Ismailov.
The cars that the four Russians, aged between 20-24, were driving were a Bugatti Veyron, Mercedes Mclaren SLR, Porsche Cayenne Turbo and the Lamborghini Murcielago that crashed, which was apparently rented.
It is reported that the Murcielago driver lost control of his car and hit the Volkswagen Golf in front of him, sending it spinning into a guardrail. This resulted in the 70yr old German driver having to be cut from his car, and is currently in a serious condition in hospital.
The Murcielago is said to have fled the scene of the accident, but was later found by the police. The driver gave a breath test which indicated that he had a blood alcohol level of 0.11%. This is more than double the Swiss legal limit of 0.05% and nearly four times the level of the Russian limit of 0.03%.

Lamborghini Gallardo Twin Turbo “Race Version,” An Incredible 1,875 HP Supercar
We’ve seen some amazing cars so far. Whit a lot of power and the number expressing the horsepower having 3 digits. No, we are not talking about trains, we are talking about cars. You can see them on Youtube instantly, just search for “fast supra with 1400 hp” or “viper twin turbo 1900 hp” or “1300HP GTR 7.92” and the list can continue. But the next car is something I’ve personally never seen before. But, let’s cut the rambling and get to the subject.
Underground Racing presented its latest creation, a Lamborghini Gallardo with a V12 twin turbo 1,875 HP engine, named “Race Version.” The unimaginably powerful vehicle was custom made for a client, Jonah, and runs with a special fuel name VP c16, used in the race cars combustion. The engine of the supercar is helped by a 6-speed transmission. The lucky possessor of this amazing piece of engineering managed to make a quarter mile in less than 10 seconds, with a speed of 162 mph.

Rumours Of New Lamborghini Urus
Having got into the ultra-exclusive market with the Reventon, it’s being reported that Lamborghini will attempt to compete against the upcoming Ferrari F70. The news stems from reports about Lamborghini’s development of a new, range topping supercar, perhaps to be named the Urus.
The car will share much of the same underpinnings as the Murcielago replacement (rumoured to be called the Jota) but will benefit from modifications in the form of carbon fibre parts. It will feature a complete carbon fibre body and active aerodynamics to help give it a cutting edge over the competition.
The car will probably be released a little while after the Murcielago replacement which is expected sometime next year. It’ll also be the most powerful Lamborghini to date with a rumoured 800bhp on the cards.

James Blunt - 2010 Pirelli Calendar Launch
Sant’Agata Bolognese, 20 November 2009 – Automobili Lamborghini and Pirelli, once again in partnership: the House of the Raging Bull’s super sportscars were among the luxury vehicles chosen by the tyre manufacturer for the new 2010 Pirelli calendar presentation, which took place last night in London.
A MurciĆ©lago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce and two Gallardos - an LP 560-4 Spyder and the latest limited edition, rear-wheel drive LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni – chauffeured some of the best known celebrities from music and show business to the event, including English model and socialite Lady Victoria Hervey, and songwriter, singer and twice Brit Award winner James Blunt and his companion. Blunt’s album ‘Back to Bedlam’ has sold 11 million copies worldwide and topped the charts in 18 countries.
For the occasion, all three Lamborghinis sported a new feature: hidden LED lights which, positioned under the wheel arches, illuminated the tyres in homage to the Milan-based tyre company.
The long-standing partnership between Lamborghini and Pirelli, both leaders in the automotive industry, focuses on technologically advanced solutions such as specific tyres to match Lamborghini sportscars’ extreme power and performance.
Lamborghini and Pirelli’s partnership extends to motorsport: Pirelli is the only official supplier of both the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo one-make series and of the Lamborghini Academy, which organises Lamborghini driving courses on prestigious international racetracks.

Raging Bulls: Contact and Carnage in Germany!
From the looks of this clip from the Lamborghini Super Trofeo race in Germany, it looks like there were a lot of wrecks, but that just could be the editing. Given the amount of carnage, I was surprised to see there weren’t any flames. Hell, I half-expected pit lane to look like a beach full of bonfires. Kidding. Anyway, while there was definitely some chaos on the course, Team Lamborghini Munchen managed another first place win, which makes three this season. Keep up the good work gentlemen, and keep uploading these great videos to StreetFire!

Chrome Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster shows up in London
Certain vehicles with Italian surnames reach such pinnacles of aesthetic glory that even the slightest bit of after-market chrome serves only to cheapen and detract from their true worth. The purveyors of tastelessness responsible for the monstrosity pictured above made the executive decision to forego the chrome 22’s and instead wrap the entire Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 in heinous, over-the-top chromage. Words fail.
According to World Car Fans, that’s not even real chrome finish, but an adhesive foil plastered onto the car with chrome splashed on. Apparently, the car has been seen making turns and lowering real estate value up and down London streets.

Lamborghini China
Despite the financial doom and gloom, which sent several automotive brands to the wall, Lamborghini sales in China have been booming.
Automobili Lamborghini based in the small rural town of Sant’Agata in Italy’s north, has just opened its seventh Chinese dealership in Hangzhou.
China is on track to sell 80 cars this year, which is 23 percent up on the 2008.
In fact, over 26.8 percent of Automobili Lamborghini’s global sales are from the Asia-Pacific region, which is expected to grow even further during 2010.
China is now the world’s largest producer of millionaires and billionaires on the planet, so you can expect to see more raging bulls on the roads than ever.
At this year’s Shanghai International Auto Show and track day events organised by Lamborghini in China, there were more than 300 potential customers and 200 journalists invited to try out the Gallardo LP 560-4 and the Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce.
With demand for the Lamborghini marque at an al time high in China, the Beijing dealership has been expanded with a new and larger showroom and is now the largest sales outlet for the brand in Asia.
The location is on the famous Jinbao Street, one of the world’s leading destinations for luxury shopping and the perfect place to show off the Lamborghini range.

Lamborghini-inspired Cell Phone from TAG Heuer – Limited Edition
A limited edition of a phone inspired by a super car – Lamborghini Murcielago – was announced a few days ago by TAG Heuer. To signify the year when the Lamborghini cars were first produced, only 1963 pieces of the MERIDIIST Automobili Lamborghini will be available. The phones are stainless steel-made, black titanium carbide-coated and are sporting the signature that can be found on the V12 engine block of the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640. The MERIDIIST Automobili Lamborghini cell phone will be shipping in November, but its price has not been announced yet.
The phone does not feature as advanced characteristics as other similar devices do, but has a 1.9-inch display covered by a 60.5-carat sapphire crystal panel resistant to scratches. A two-megapixel camera is included, as well as Bluetooth and media player functionality. Seven hours in talk mode and 28 days in standby mode are covered by the handset’s battery.

Update: Heffner Lamborghini Gallardo tuned to 1,005HP at the wheels
Heffner Performance’s standard twin-turbo package for the 5.0L high-rev V10 engine of the Lamborghini Gallardo was already one of the most extreme tuning packages for any car, let alone an Italian exotic, but the Florida tuner has lifted performance yet again. This time around, power has been boosted to an insane 1,005hp (750kW) at the wheels and torque has been bumped up to 765lb-ft (1,036Nm).
After an initial build, the car ‘only’ churned up 930hp (694kW) at the wheels but its owner, Allan Fiedler, was determined to reach his original target of delivering more power at the wheels than the Bugatti Veyron develops at the crank. After spending more time with the car, Heffner’s engineers managed to reach the target and have provided the dyno chart to prove it.
Power is sent to all four wheels via the Gallardo’s standard AWD system but to ensure some level of drivability remains, a two stage boost controller limits boost in 1st and 2nd gear to useable limits.
As expected, modifications to the standard Gallardo are extensive. Starting with a complete engine removal and disassembly, Heffner installs steel cylinder liners, new forged pistons, polished crankshaft journals, new bearings, a new twin-turbo system with custom exhausts and intake systems, twin wastegates and blow-off-valves, 1,000hp-rated Carrillo Billet Steel connecting rods, a twin-stage electronic boost controller and a heavy duty clutch to transfer all that power.
To make sure everything runs smoothly, Heffner also installs uprated fuel and water pumps, fuel-injectors and a water-cooled intercooler system. Styling enhancements include a carbon-fiber rear decklid and a Superleggera-style rear diffuser and spoiler. The car’s final kerb weight measures in at 3,377lbs (1,531kg) with half a tank of fuel.
While no track numbers or quarter mile times have been posted, with more than 1,000hp spinning up the wheels the car could easily be the fastest Lamborghini in the world.
